Start with a full homemade breakfast with sumptuous entrees and a first course buffet, we cater to all individual dietary lifestyles and use fresh local produce, most grown in our own garden. Get tips at a hands-on cooking class while enjoying afternoon refreshments, lemonade and amazing infused water. Grab your beach badges and beach chairs and fill up your bottle at the water cooler. Walk right down the street to the beach, then come back and grab a refreshing outdoor shower. Maybe a glass of wine with the innkeepers at our "Pinot and Pups" pop ups and little ping pong in the garden? After your night around the town, you will relish the comfortable beds, flat screen cable TV, Air Conditioning and WiFi, along with the attention to detail that keeps everything sparkling clean.

Breakfast

If you love food, you know that seeking out culinary experiences is one of the best ways to connect with the character of a place.
Do you love a sumptuous breakfast where you can bite into the sweet gooeyness of caramel cinnamon buns topped with warm icing? Do you relish the simplicity of a fresh cut pineapple and a scrambled egg? Organic? Vegan? Vegetarian? KETO? WW? Gluten free? Come to our delicious breakfast at the Island Guest House B&B and you will find something for every taste. Please let us know any dietary preferences in advance when you make your reservations.

We use Jersey farm fresh local fruits and vegetables. Many come directly from our own garden to your breakfast table! All of our herbs and many vegetables, like peppers, onions, scallions and chives, tomatoes, parsley, spinach, and zucchini are picked by Joanne daily from the garden of the Island Guest House.

The Island Guest House serves breakfast from 8:30 am and we clear at 10 am. You can come as early as you like and coffee will be ready! First course is a lovely buffet that includes fruits, different kinds of breads and bagels, our super delicious homemade cream cheese with veggies and herbs from the garden and local fruits or course (think chive or veggie, strawberry or pineapple), cereals, juice, a selection of different teas. We have hard boiled eggs, fresh baked pastries or muffins, and homemade apple cinnamon oatmeal. Then each day there is a different delightful entree such as Quiche Lorraine, cheese blintzes with strawberries and whip cream, Creme Brulee French toast or Bananas Foster waffles, bubbly egg casseroles and frittatas loaded with cheese, sausage or ham and always a vegetarian options, or baked in the oven French toast casseroles bursting with blueberries or fresh peaches.
You can enjoy breakfast in the Seaglass breakfast room adjoining the kitchen, or through the French doors in the garden at one many umbrella tables. You may also eat in the front reception area at the cozy corner wicker tables, on the enclosed front porch, or in your guest room, especially if you have a private patio or deck. Your dog may join you anywhere expect in the kitchen or Seaglass breakfast room.

Hot Coffee, both regular and decaffeinated, and barious teas are always available. The coffee dispenser brews coffe upon demand, so it is always fresh.

Hands on Cooking Classes

If you are a foodie, go behind the scenes to the kitchen in the early afternoon to watch and engage with the Innkeeper Joanne as she prepares the recipes that will appear on the next day's menu. Your nose will lead you there as soon as you step into the Inn and there are always home baked goodies that away you. Get some cooking tips and hands on instruction if you wish, and maybe even snag a recipe. It is also a great time to ask about the best local places to dine.

Tea Time

Stop by the kitchen in the afternoon for some homemade sweets and refreshments. You will find something different every day, and it is a great time to find Joanne working on her recipes and to get information about the best local places for dinner!

Enjoy a glass of refreshing iced tea or lemonade, or one of our many amazing varieties of infused waters. Some favorites are cucumber mint, watermelon blueberry, strawverry kiwi, pineapple melon, citrus with lemon, lime and orange, and mango pmegranate.

Beach Badges

Beach badges ar included during your stay here at the Island Guest House Bed and Breakfast. They are good for any of the beaches here in Beach Haven. Since we are Ocean Side, we are only steps away from the beach!

Beach Chairs

Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs are provided for each guest to use during their stay here. The Beach Chairs can either sit up or recline down, so you can optimize your suntan while on the beach! Each Beach Chair has a strap so you can carry it hands free, over you shoulder. They also have two zipper pouches, one to keep your drinks and snacks cold, by using a frozen ice pack. Which we also provide for use in the kitchen freezer, and the second is to keep items out of the sun and sand, like your cell phone or prescription glasses.

Bicycles

Complimentary bicycles are outside on the Ocean side of the Inn. Each bike has its own lock and combination code. Visitors and locals enjoy traveling in the 4 miles of dedicated bike lanes from Beach Haven to the Beach Haven Inlet.

Outside Shower

An LBI tradition! In addition to the indoor showers, you can choose a refreshing outdoor shower. Fully enclosed large outdoor shower with rain shower head, hot and cold water, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Grab a pool towel from the bin next to the shower. Robes are provided in each room and it is appropriate to wear them to the shower. Perfect for after the beach or anytime! There is also an outside rinse off shower for just removing sand.

As a guest once told us, "One of my favorite things is to take an evening shower with the ambiance of the garden twinkle lights at night", and yes there is a light in the shower too.

Ping Pong

Enjoy a game of Ping Pong in the garden!

Pinot & Pups

"Pop up" meet and great in the garden - dogs invited! Treats and water for the pups and a complimentary glass of wine for their human parents. If you do not have a dog, feel free to come and mingle and pet Victoria's Pug dog Oscar!
